Adjustable Sheet Music Stand with Microphone Boom Arm

I'm a music teacher and a musician myself and we purchased 5 of the pictured stands with Mic Boom attachment.  We used this Mic Boom stand for the very first time at a Stage Band gig. I set the stand up and adjusted the microphone boom arm myself (ie: it wasn't mishandled by students) and the entire mic holder section snapped off. Not the boom, but the mic section. No force or anything, it just fell off in my hands. Appears like it's too brittle. It was before the gig even begun so unfortunately was no use to us for the Sax Solo. My main concern is we purchased a five and now I'm hesitant to set the other 4 of them up in case it's poor quality for all of them.

Sturdy. Works well. Arrived on time and in good condition.
